Thursdays at St. Peter’s Village Hall 5.15pm and 6.30pm with Nicky Edgar.
$10 per class via ten trip or $12 casual per class.

A regular yoga practice helps us to thrive in our wellbeing and resilience.
Our community yoga is suitable for all ages and stages in your yoga journey, even if you have never practiced yoga before. It’s fun, relaxed and a great way to reconnect with other members of the Paekakariki community.
St. Peter’s Village Hall has a lovely new matai floor, good heating, A/C for summer and adjustable lighting.
“I’m Nicky Edgar a qualified Yin and Vinyasa Yoga Aligned Teacher. I teach a modified Yin yoga class, this usually consists of longer held passive poses (asana) that mainly work the lower half of our body, with a combination of gentle flow movements with our breath. Each class starts with a meditation and pranayama (breath) and finishes in a wonderful savasana to completely let go and restore.
I have found that this combination strengthens, lengthens and restores our whole body. With the use of props; straps, bolsters, blankets and blocks, students can modify the poses to suit their own individual bodies. Whether you are a beginner yogi or more experienced or recovering from an injury you get the benefit of each asana.
All sessions, the sequencing is intelligent, working the body in a way that is safe and not injurious.
My aim is that students come away feeling centred, better listeners to their own needs and wiser as they get to know themselves better from the inside out.”
YIN AND TONIC 5.15 – 6.15pm.
Yin and Tonic is a gentle restorative yoga class that opens and stretches the body. Combining a sequence of longer held yin poses with a light flow. You will gain strength and flexibility and leave feeling relaxed and revitalised! Suitable for people that are new to yoga or in need of a more restorative class.
YINYASA FLOW 6.30 – 7.30pm
Yinyasa flow is more energetic that follows a sequence of movement with breath. Level 1 class, suitable for people that want to move, get stronger and more flexible.
