Half Light, one of New Zealand’s top Celtic music duos, will be bringing their dynamic and hypnotic live performance to St Peters Village Hall in Paekākāriki on December 6th. Featuring the virtuosic talents of Rennie Pearson and Bob McNeill, Half Light’s music is a unique blend of Celtic traditions and original creativity, merging wooden flutes, whistles, guitars, and an array of pedal sounds to create an enthralling experience for audiences.

Half Light are known for their ability to take the energy of traditional Celtic music and reimagine it through their own lens, drawing on a diverse range of styles, from American folk to Indian classical and Middle Eastern influences. Their music takes the audience on a journey through rich landscapes, bringing traditional stories and rhythms to life. Expect toe-tapping jigs, driving reels, and heart-lifting songs expertly interwoven with evocative melodies and storytelling that paints vivid images in your mind.

“We’re excited to share our music with the community in Paekākāriki ,” says Rennie Pearson. “The energy we get from these live shows is something truly special, and we love to see people being transported by the music.”

Both Rennie and Bob are highly respected figures in the New Zealand and Australian folk scenes, having performed and taught at major festivals and music schools. Their combined expertise and creativity make Half Light a must-see act for anyone with a love of traditional music that pushes boundaries and brings new life to old forms.

The duo are touring across the lower part of the North Island in December and across the South Island in January. Don’t miss your chance to see them live. Get your tickets while they are still available from from https://www.renniepearsonmusic.com/
