Love Linda: The Life of Mrs Cole Porter

April 7 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$25 – $30

7-9pm on Thursday 07 April at St Peter’s hall

Love Linda: The Life of Mrs Cole Porter.  Directed by Adam Macaulay

$30 + BF

A one-woman musical and theatrical journey, telling the story of Linda Lee Thomas, the Southern beauty who was the driving force behind legendary songwriter Cole Porter at the dawn of the roaring twenties.

The score for LOVE LINDA includes such beloved Porter songs as “Night and Day”, “I Love Paris”, “In the Still of the Night”, and “Love for Sale.”

Wellington singer/producer Georgia Jamieson Emms once again steps into the role of Linda, accompanied by jazz musicians Ayrton Foote (piano), Thomas Moore (bass) and Sebastian Macaulay (drums), in what will be their 21st and final performance of LINDA – absolutely not to be missed.

“We are truly transported to another time and place.” – Lisa Simpson, Nov 2020

“Enjoy the biting wit and exquisite voice of Georgia Jamieson Emms” – David Searle, April 2021

“Beautiful to watch…she [Emms] is a masterclass in scene to song” – Jo Hodgson, December 2021

This will be their 21st show in 17 months – they’ve been touring on and off all through the pandemic, and are finishing a mammoth run in Paekākāriki.

Linda’s ball gown was designed and created for the show by Paekākāriki local, Lyn Ashworth.
