The growth of the industrial seed sector and associated loss of small scale producers and indigenous communities seed systems have not occurred through some natural or inevitable process. It is the result of deliberate seed policies designed to promote an industrial seed system, based on seed protected by intellectual and industrial property rights in which small scale producers, indigenous communities and local communities are given little or no choice to use that seed. You can change that! Saving seeds is the ultimate act of food sovereignty!
