By popular demand, Maracatui is gliding on the warm sea breezes and heading north to the village of Paekākāriki to bring rhythm and dance to the coast.
The performance will kick off and rock the village from 7:30pm with traditional Maracatu percussion, song, and dance all the way from Pernambuco in northeast Brazil.
Enjoy original Maracatu rhythms incorporating a broader range of instrumentation creating musical arrangements that have wide appeal while still paying homage to traditional Brazilian Maracatu roots and culture.
