The Notetaker – The Ultimage Memoir – David McGill
Dr Michael O’Leary launches local author David McGill’s memoir on Saturday 5 September – 2pm – at the Paekākāriki Railway Station Museum tearooms. David McGill has shaped 63 books out of a lifetime of notetaking. This 64th book is about what triggered his books and how he transformed raw notes into marketable publications, including selling out two of his six memoirs following appearances on the Kim Hill radio programme, his six collections of Kiwi slang and social histories such as those on NZ ghost towns, Matiu/Somes Island in Wellington harbour and the country’s ethnic minorities.
