We need your books!
It’s that time of year again – the Paekākāriki Book Fair has been a regular July event for several years. We time it to coincide with school holidays as the children’s section is a highlight of the Fair. This year opening night, another highly anticipated community event, is on 11 July. The Fair then runs through to Sunday 13 Jully. Put it in your diary!!
The Book Fair is an important fundraiser for the Hall – last year was our most successful Fair ever. We provide a wide range of quality books at very reasonable prices. Please help us make this year’s Book Fair even more successful.
The books that are in most demand are children’s books, fiction in tidy condition, any books about New Zealand or by New Zealand authors and poets, etc, etc. From experience, we know that reference books (e.g. dictionaries and encyclopaedias) and tatty paperbacks don’t sell, so please don’t include these.
